Top Simulation Expert Joins PLEXOS Solutions LLC

SACRAMENTO, California – PLEXOS Solutions LLC announced today that Dr. Tao Guo has joined the company as Vice President for North American Technical Services. Dr. Guo has 20+ years experience designing and implementing advanced algorithms for leading software vendors in the electric industry.

Dr. Guo is a recognized expert in the areas of resource scheduling, electric market simulation, stochastic analyses, and transmission modeling. He has implemented and used algorithms employed in all of PLEXOS’ key business applications, and will assist customers in using the product to solve their operation and planning problems. Dr. Guo has a PhD in Power System Engineering from University of Michigan and has previously worked for New Energy Associates in Atlanta, Henwood Energy in Sacramento, and Global Energy of Boulder.
